Not Everybody Likes Me
Let’s just get this out of the way.
Yes, the title was clickbait.
Yes, it worked.
And yes, you’re here now reading it… so I’m going to call that a win. Sorry not sorry.
Now that we’ve got that out of the way, let’s talk about what this post is actually about.
Because the truth is the opposite of what the headline suggests.
People Do Like Me (And More Importantly… They Trust Me)
I’ve been in this business long enough to know something very simple:
Real estate is not just about houses.
It’s about relationships.
And one of the things I’m most proud of is that I have strong working relationships with other Realtors in the Lake Minnetonka and greater Minneapolis market.
That matters more than most people realize.
Why Realtor Relationships Actually Matter
Most buyers and sellers don’t see this side of the business, but it shows up in real ways:
-
How quickly we can solve problems in a transaction
-
How smoothly negotiations move
-
How good is the communication
-
How creative we can get when a deal gets stuck
When two agents trust each other, deals tend to stay together.
When they don’t… things get slow, complicated, and unnecessarily painful.
This Business Is Smaller Than You Think
Lake Minnetonka real estate especially is a small world.
You work with the same agents over and over again.
You see the same names daily.
So reputation matters.
Not just with clients, but with other agents too.
Why This Matters for My Clients
At the end of the day, my job is to protect my clients, guide them through one of the biggest financial decisions of their lives, and make sure they don’t leave money on the table.
And having strong relationships with other agents helps me do that better.
It can mean:
-
Cleaner negotiations
-
Faster responses
-
Fewer surprises
-
Better outcomes in competitive situations
Real estate isn’t just about what you know.
The Bottom Line
So yes… the headline was clickbait.
But the truth is this:
People do like me.
Realtors in the community respect each other.
We know the good ones.
We know the not so good ones.
And those relationships quietly make a big difference in how smoothly deals get done.
Because in this business, you don’t just want to win one deal.
You want to be someone other agents actually want to work with on the next one.
And that’s what creates better outcomes for everyone involved.
