What Does Your House Number Say About Your Home?

What Does Your House Number Say About Your Home?

What Does Your House Number Say About Your Home?

(Or... is this just a bunch of mumbo jumbo?)

I can tell you with complete confidence that every house has a personality.

Some homes feel warm the second you walk in.
Some feel like the are judging you.
And some...well...they've definitely seen some things.

So that got me wondering...

Does your house number actually mean something?

Welcome to the wonderfully weird world of house numerology.

Before you roll your eyes, hear me out. This isn't science. Nobody from MIT is studying whether living at 248 Maple Street guarantees inner peace. But numerology has been around for thousands of years, and a surprising number of people believe your home's number influences its energy.

Whether you believe it or not...it's kind of fun.

And for the record, homes have ENERGY- good or bad. I also believe beyond a shadow of a doubt a house can be haunted. Ask me to tell you some stories!

First...How Do You Calculate Your House Number?

It's easy.

Take all the numbers in your address and add them together until you get a single digit.

Examples:

14811

1 + 4 + 8 + 1 + 1 = 15

1 + 5 = 6

House Number = 6

4216

4 + 2 + 1 + 6 = 13

1 + 3 = 4

House Number = 4

9955

9 + 9 + 5 + 5 = 28

2 + 8 = 10

1 + 0 = 1

House Number = 1

So...What Does It Mean?

1 – The Leader

Perfect for ambitious people.

These homes are all about independence, fresh starts, entrepreneurship and big goals.

The neighbors probably think you have your life together.

Whether you actually do...that's between you and Amazon Prime.

2 – The Peacemaker

Warm.
Welcoming.
Relationship-focused.

These homes are great for couples, families and people who host game night without making it weird.

Lots of cozy vibes.

3 – The Entertainer

This is the fun house.

Birthday parties.
Backyard BBQs.
Wine nights that accidentally become midnight pizza deliveries.

If your friends always end up at your house...

Congratulations.

You're probably a 3.

4 – The Builder

Reliable.
Practical.
Organized.

These are homes where people actually use the garage for cars.

I know.

They're rare.

A Number 4 home is about stability and putting down roots.

5 – The Adventurer

Chaos.

Good chaos.

People come and go.
Trips get planned.
Life changes often.

If your passport has more stamps than your local coffee shop rewards card...

Number 5 feels right at home.

6 – The Caregiver

This is the family home.

Think holiday dinners.

Kids running through the yard.

Grandparents stopping over unannounced because "they were just in the neighborhood."

These homes are built around love, comfort and taking care of others.

7 – The Thinker

Quiet.

Private.

Maybe there's a telescope in the backyard.

Or a library.

Or someone who says things like,
"I just need a little alone time."

Number 7 homes tend to attract people who enjoy learning, nature and a little peace and quiet.

8 – The Success House

Money.

Business.

Achievement.

Luxury.

If any number gets accused of manifesting financial success...

It's 8.

Whether that's true or not...

I wouldn't complain about living in one.

9 – The Humanitarian

Big hearts.

Big generosity.

These homes often become gathering places for family, friends and anyone who needs a little help.

They're all about community.

So...Should You Buy a House Based on the Number?

Probably not.

If you find the perfect house but it's a Number 4 when you were hoping for an 8...

Buy the house.

The inspection matters a whole lot more than numerology.

That said...

It's fun.

Kind of like astrology.

Some people swear it's incredibly accurate.

Others think it's complete fluff.

I'm somewhere in the middle.

I've walked through thousands of homes over the past 25 years, and I'll admit...

Some houses just have a certain feeling.

Whether that's because of the people, the design, the memories made there...or simply the power of suggestion...

I'll let you decide.

Now I'm curious...

Go calculate your house number.

Did it describe your home?

Or is this all complete nonsense?

Tell me what number you got. I want to know.
